Our Instructors
Sue
Studio Owner, Pilates Instructor, Wellness Coach
Sue began practicing Pilates at a time in her life when she was struggling to find balance as a new mom to three young boys. The immediate benefits Pilates had on her mind and body ignited in her a desire to share Pilates with others.
Sue earned her 600-hour comprehensive Pilates instructor certification through Power Pilates and the Pilates Method Alliance, and became a certified health and wellness coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
Sue believes Pilates is for all people and all bodies. She has undergone specialized training in Pilates for injury rehabilitation, prenatal and postnatal Pilates, and Pilates for breast cancer patients and survivors. She is certified in the Jill Hinson Method for Breast Cancer and is an affiliate with Core Compassion Project, which provides Pilates scholarships to individuals with breast cancer and survivors.
Sue has also created a holistic wellness group program, Opalife, which combines Pilates, wellness coaching and a members-only community to help her clients reach their personal goals through movement, motivation, support and accountability.
Sue has a background in professional dance and dance instruction, and holds degrees in dance, nutrition and education from Rutgers University. She lives in Haddonfield, New Jersey, with her husband, three sons, and pup.
Mari
Pilates Instructor
With a passion for fitness and a heart that seeks to help others, Mari is dedicated to guiding people to experience the transformative power of Pilates.
Pilates came into Mari’s during a time of change and transition and was a consistent and grounding force. It seemed almost fortuitous that Mari’s true calling was to guide others on their own path to wellness and inner strength through Pilates.
As someone who has always prioritized movement and wellness, Mari understands the importance of staying active as we age. And that’s what makes Pilates so special—it’s designed for every body, regardless of age or fitness level.
Mari has a deep empathy for beginners; she can relate to the challenges and apprehensions that newcomers may face and is passionate about guiding her clients to be their best selves.
Elisa
Pilates Instructor Trainee
Elisa is passionate about holistic wellness and strives to incorporate strength, balance, and mindfulness throughout her journey as a Pilates instructor.
Before embracing the world of Pilates, Elisa was a seasoned yoga practitioner. This prior experience has allowed her to appreciate both the differences and similarities between yoga and Pilates and embrace both disciplines for the balance they bring to her. Elisa also finds joy in cooking, particularly in crafting recipes that celebrate whole food ingredients, and making memories with her two young daughters. She sees her Pilates journey as an opportunity for her daughters to witness firsthand the importance of valuing and nurturing one's body, and hopes to inspire others in the same way.
